The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) on July 30, 2026, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Sixth Amendment) Order, 2026 to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following amendments have been stated:
• Amendment of Schedule VI.-
Against S.No. 83, relating to Citrus spp. (Lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, mandarins, etc. and other Rutaceous) in column (2) against the entry (i) Fresh fruits for consumption in column (3), relating to entries South Africa in column (4), the existing entries in column (6) shall be substituted with the enteries.
It shall come into force on July 30, 2026.
